Katzenfairhalten sources its wood from the regional forestry in Kottenforst and we personally harvest it from treetops in the wood industry using a chainsaw. All manufacturing processes are in one hand at Katzenfairhalten and are carried out with great precision. The work on the wood, including the surface finishing, is of German carpenter quality. Description: The natural scratching post is made in curved, organic shapes that blend harmoniously into the overall picture. The lying boards almost merge with the natural trunk. The contour of the tree is almost completely covered with 12 mm thick, 4-strand sisal rope. It covers the inner and outer contours like skin and reflects the light on its lively surface. Even daily, intensive claw sharpening in the same place cannot harm the stable bond. The natural scratching post is equipped with at least one lying bowl, which is lined with a high-quality, beige-colored shaggy carpet insert. This can be removed for cleaning purposes and can be replaced by us at any time by sending us the old insert.
Material:
A naturally grown part of a treetop, dried, debarked, sanded, waxed and polished with OSMO hard wax oil, almost completely covered with 12 mm thick, 4-strand sisal rope and glued with a non-slip, solvent-free adhesive. All of the attachments on the natural scratching post are made of multiplex birch plywood (extremely stable due to the crosswise glued rotary-cut veneer layers), sanded, waxed and polished with OSMO hard wax oil (harmless for humans and animals, even suitable for children's toys).
